DRIVING DIRECTIONS: From downtown Wallace, Idaho, go north on 6th Street. Continue from the edge of town on NF 456 Road (Nine Mile Road) for about six miles. At Bunn, turn right and continue north on NF 456 Road (Beaver Creek Road) about seven miles to Delta. Turn right on the Delta Murray road and go east 0.7 miles. Turn right on NF 1505 Road (Beaver Creek Road). You'll wind your way east and south about 6.5 miles. Toward the end of this leg you'll cross a meadow for 0.3 miles, then drive along the south side of a meadow for 0.4 miles, then drive 100 yards on the south side of a 3rd meadow and find yourself about a quarter mile west of Fulkerson Peak. Continue on NF 1505 about two miles as it wraps around the north and east sides of the peak. The road then dead ends about two miles further on, so turn around at any safe spot. The BLM map at right shows a trail that crosses NF 1505 and continues up to the peak. Do not attempt the drive in winter conditions. AWD or 4WD may be required at any time.
