The descendants of Silas FULKERSON, born in Canada, are seeking clues about his connection to the rest of the Fulkerson family. His name alone may help point the way...there was a Silas FULKERSON from New York who moved to Michigan, and whose descendants are not well charted. Descendants of the Canadian Silas FULKERSON moved to Michigan.
There may be yet another connection at Port Huron, Michigan, where several of Silas's descendants were born, and where Willett FULKERSON from another former New York branch had settled. And then perhaps another branch, or perhaps one that is closely related, is found on the 1881 Canadian Census at Sarnia -- a 69-year old Zeruah ("Mottie") (Hungerford) FULKERSON, widow of an unknown John FULKERSON, was found living with her son John FULKERSON...who was later married at Port Huron, Michigan in 1890.
