Jacob FULKERSON was born in New Jersey about 1760 and emigrated with his family to Kentucky after the Revolution. He and wife Abigail farmed and raised ten children on Plum Run Road, near Bloomfield, Nelson Co., KY. By 1812 he began to suffer from a stone in his bladder (vesical calculi), and sought the help of Dr. Walter BRASHEAR of nearby Bardstown. Jacob's will was dated 20 July 1812, possibly written immediately before the surgery. |
